About the Smartphone “Auto-Rotate” Feature

Normally, when you simply turn (re-orient) your smartphone 90 degrees, the display will automatically change to adapt to the new orientation.

If you turn yours 90 degrees, but the display does not automatically change, this means you have turned off the “auto-rotate” feature. We recommend you turn it back on, so that you can view web pages in either portrait or landscape orientation. (There are certain advantages to each.)

  • If you have an Android smartphone, but auto-rotate does not work automatically, try this Google resource to fix the problem.

  • If you have an Apple iPhone, but auto-rotate does not work, try this Apple resource.
